Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

To keep Studio Walker safe, useful, and legally sustainable for everyone, here are some things you agree not to do. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, and we'll always notify you if we do (unless we're legally required not to).

Don’t use the platform to spam

  • You may only send marketing emails / SMS to customers who've actually agreed to receive them from your business.
  • Don't import contact lists from third parties (bought lists, scraped lists, the staff member's personal address book) and blast them through Studio Walker.
  • Don't pretend SMS or email came from someone they didn't.
  • Don't use the SMS reminder feature to deliver promotional content; reminders are for confirmed bookings only.

Don’t misuse customer data

  • You can't harvest, export, or share customer information for any purpose unrelated to the salon-customer relationship.
  • You can't sell, rent, or licence customer data to third parties.
  • You can't use Studio Walker as a way to collect personal information you'd otherwise be forbidden to collect under your local data-protection law.
  • Honour customer opt-out / unsubscribe requests promptly. Repeated failures to do so are a breach.

Don’t do anything illegal

  • No services that aren't legal in the country you're operating in.
  • No money-laundering, fraud, or sanctions evasion.
  • No infringement of someone else's intellectual property.

Don’t attack or abuse the platform

  • Don't try to compromise our systems, other accounts, or other businesses on the platform.
  • Don't reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service beyond what your subscription allows.
  • Don't use the Service to deliver malware, phishing, or other harmful content.
  • Don't exceed reasonable rate limits or attempt denial-of-service.
  • Don't share accounts. Each Studio Walker account is for one business; staff get their own role-based logins.

What happens if you break these rules

Depending on the severity:

  • Warning + chance to fix it. Most cases.
  • Feature suspension. E.g. SMS sending paused while we investigate a deliverability complaint.
  • Account suspension. Access blocked but data preserved while we resolve the issue.
  • Account termination. For serious or repeated breaches. Data deleted per our standard retention policy.
